Cristina and Lukas’s wedding was our first project shot completely in a foreign destination. It took place in the beautiful countryside of Austria on the border of Burgenland and Styria. Lucy and I had arrived there the day before to be ready to commence early in the morning. And most of all, we could meet Cristina and Lukas in the evenings before the wedding. Besides fine-tuning the last details, we made them a few pictures at sunset (see the gallery). The wedding was a very powerful and emotional experience for us. Since everything is captured in the photos, we will describe only a few of our most favorite moments.

First and foremost, Cristina and Lukas were a loving and heartfelt couple. It was truly visible how much they enjoyed this day. Ceremony was simply out of this world. Tears, smiles, emotions were nearly tangible. Even though the ceremony was official and took more than an hour, it was beautiful that the clerk enjoyed this beautiful moment as if they were longtime friends. After the ceremony, guests refreshed themselves while they were watching a magician’s performance, eating cake and taking part in the group photo session. Everything was set under the blue skies. As the sun began to set slowly, we shot wedding portraits right in the garden. In the evening, we moved to the area with thousands of lights over our heads, creating an even more ethereal atmosphere.

And so at this wedding, we have taken so far the most photos ever!
